1. Who we are

Meikyu is developed and operated by Meikyu.

2. The iOS app

• No accounts. There is no sign-up and no log-in. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other information that identifies you.
• No third-party tracking SDKs, no ads. The app embeds no analytics, attribution, or advertising SDK. It does not read the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other apps or websites.
• Your game data stays on your device. Your progress, your Record, and everything gathered in the Dungeon Codex are stored on the device itself and are never uploaded to a server of ours — we run no server for this purpose. Deleting the app deletes this data. If iCloud sync ships in a later version, we will update this policy before that feature is released and state where the data goes.
• Purchases are handled by Apple. If you buy anything in the app, the payment and the receipt check are handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your card number, billing address, or Apple ID. Apple's handling of the transaction is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

3. The website (meikyu.app)

• No accounts. The web version likewise needs no sign-up or log-in and collects no information that identifies you.
• Your game data stays in your browser. Your progress, your Record, your settings, and what you have collected are kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage) and are not uploaded to a server. Clearing your browser data clears them.
• We use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic. To see how many people play, where they arrive from, and which pages get read, this site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-GL06JNWZ20). It stores cookies in your browser (_ga and similar) and records aggregate information: the pages visited, an approximate region inferred from your IP address (Google does not disclose your full IP address to us), the device and browser type, and the referring link. We see aggregate reports only and cannot identify you personally from them. Google processes this data on our behalf, under the Google Privacy Policy.
• You can refuse this measurement. Blocking or clearing cookies in your browser settings, using a content blocker, or installing Google's Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on will each stop it. Refusing measurement does not affect any part of the game.
• Hosting and server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As is ordinary for any web host, the provider records request logs — such as IP address, timestamp, and requested path — as needed to deliver the site and defend it against abuse.
• No ads. The site carries no advertising and no advertising network.

4. Children

Meikyu is made for a general audience and is not directed at children. As described above, we collect no information that identifies a person, so we have no way of knowing a player's age.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe we nonetheless hold a child's personal information, write to [email protected]; we will check and delete it promptly.

5. Changes to this policy

We will revise this policy when the product changes — for example if cloud sync ships — or when the law requires it. The revised version is posted on this page and the effective date at the top is updated. Material changes are also announced in the app or prominently on this site.

Continuing to use Meikyu after a revision means you accept the revised policy.
